I'll miss the Small World Cafe so much!! I wish Rita success in whatever she decides to do.

One thing I would love to have is the recipe for her wonderful salad dressing. Does anyone konw the recipe?

I've tried to recreate both the salad dressing and the chicken curry, and did not even get close!

Many thanks to Rita for the meals and memories.

The CCS Sculpture Gang will never forget the wonderful meals we shared.

Join in to help create a senseless act of beauty in the heart of Detroit.

Where many see eyesores, we see opportunity. Where sporting fans see convenient parking, we see beauty. And where some see obstacles to development, we see assets critical to a thriving downtown Detroit.

In an effort to raise awareness of Detroit’s architectural beauty, SPANK! will convene upon Grand Circus Park to bring out the beauty of our city by blowing bubbles NOT buildings en masse.

WHEN: Sunday September 12, 2004 at noon
WHERE: Grand Circus Park West
BYOB: Bring Your Own Bubbles (and some to share)

I always remember seeing matt holland and todd erickson at the small world, for years, and when i first came back to detroit i ate with them and I wasn't even sure if i should have been back in detroit and the place was the same and matt and todd were the same but different, and now of course matt is gone. I will always have good memories of the small world, change is difficult

I just happened to learn of the Small World Cafe by surfing the Internet. I'm sorry it closed. It looks like it was a nice, homey resturant.

Yeah,

I miss it too. It was one of the main reasons I frequented that particular neighborhood. Now all I do is hit CCS or the DIA, then leave the area.
