Hello, Everyone:

Rick Brinn and I have been working with Steve Glazer, Gallery Director at the Sisson Gallery at Henry Ford Community College to develop and show a final tribute and farewell to Michigan Gallery.

Our very successful series of traveling shows, "The Motor City Review" will be the show that opens at HFCC on January 27, 2010. I am asking approximately 35 "curators" of shows over the 27 year history of the gallery to show one piece of work each. Each of their pieces will be shown with posters. flyers, etc. related to the show. Of course, lots of memorabilia will also be on display.

A closing reception, with a trip to a local bar for music and lots of refreshments, is planned for early March, 2010. The closing will actually be the final "farewell."

If you curated on of the shows, please contact me regarding the show if I haven't contacted you.

Regards,

Carl Kamulski

I met with Carl today and I think we are off to a great start on this project. Carl does need help finding some of those that were curators of the various exhibitions through the years. Please, if you can help, get in touch with either Carl or myself. Lets make this an event that Detroit remembers!
