Oh I remember the International so well and with such sweet memories. The most vivid memories are when I took my daughter there. She was just a baby. We would watch the "Ompah" fires and she would have expressions of fear mixed with pure delight.
One memory I have that has always stayed with me was when Susan Kramer came to my table and told me she admired how I was an artist with a baby. I learned something that day. When you are strong and do what you just have to do, people notice and absorb the strength you exude.
Now my little Art Baby girl is a grown up 21 year old woman. She is a strong woman too. The apple never falls from the tree. She still talks about Greektown to this day. We are all lucky to have such wonderful memories.
