Hi, Steve!
Were you able to identify any of the voices on the Freezer Theater 1980 interview tape?

Hi Kathy,

I apologize. My three year old gobbles up much of my attention, and I just have not had time to get to it yet. I will though - give me a little more time.

hello to all former AWS members and hangers-on...hank malone, one of the poets of AWS yesteryear, is alive and well-enough ,living in albuquerque, new mexico these last 10 years.
i'm in the sandia mountains (a range of the rockys), a 15 minute drive from old volcanoes,a desert, two indian pueblos, and a vigorous art city, surrounded by a million years of reptilian and human history. the social life is easy, and solitude is even easier.
sure,i'm still writing, publishing, thinking, feeling, and better yet, still ambulatory in all this almost-perfect nature. after 40 years in motown, i figure i had paid my dues.

Wow--a veritable hurricane from the past!
Ain't the internet wunderful!
My name is Cathy Osher...used to be Cathy Biesanz, before that Cathy Klebes.
I grew up in Berkley, started hanging out at
THE CASTLE (anyone remember?) corner of the Lodge, and, Warren, I think. The ARTISTS WORKSHOP WAS ON THE CORNER. I lived there briefly in 1966. Hung with Jerry Younkins, Barry Biesanz(obviously),Harley Shaiken, John Bruno, Tom Abrams,Arlene and Loretta Rosenfeld, Marilyn and Karen Cooper, spent a bit of time at the Mitchnick house on Longfellow, before that tribe moved to Venice CA. hmm...I remember the day the narcs walked into the Artists Workshop and introduced themselves to John Sinclair...who welcomed them, as he did anyone who came in. I remember when Sunny Sinclair was born..
Anyone remember Sheils Selasnik?? Thad Luchanzyck?

I lived a few months in summer of 1967(RIOTS) on Kenny Mitchnicks boat on the CLinton RIver..with Mike Treeful, Fuzzy St. John, Kenny Rosen, Bill Feldman, various other human entities.
Left Detroit in 1968, and lived in California, then Costa Rica while married to Barry. We had 2 kids..one(Jeremy) now a prof at U of British Columbia, the other(Jana) an artist and writer here in Maryland.

Left Costa Rica in 1976 and came back to Detroit to go to Wayne State...with 2 kids in tow. Hung with Bobby MacDonald, John Bruno, Alvin's, New Miami. Hooked up 1980 with Fred Osher(4th street) and we moved to New Hampshire 1981, then to Washington DC.1990. Met Fred at a New Years Benefit Dance at The Children's School! I forget who the band was, could have been The LAyabouts? or their precursor..(Alan and Ralph)

Been divorced about 5 years now..about to send kid number 4 to college, and I am in love with the best guitarist ever to walk the earth.(This week anyway) Life is good...miss Detroit sometimes, but need regular ocean fixes to keep my sanity...and I can get there in a couple hours from here...
and life with constant live music around is what it is all about..for me anyway.

Anyone who wants to contact me, feel free.I would love to hear where and what...

This is really pretty amazing!

I'd like to add Jon Roberts and Ellen Harmon to the list. Reading the names of old friends, and people who shared the air and feelings of such times has been incredible.
The last time I saw David H., I dropped him off on US Highway 50 in Nevada, as he was hitching down to Arizona. He and so may are in my heart. Tony Williams! WOW!

Lucid moments and nostalgia abound
The loves and passion we all shared
Alive or Dead the energy's still around
The WorkShop flourished because we cared.

dedicated to all of you who were in my life.

Hi everybody,
I'm looking for Cass Corridor artist Larry Brooks who graduated from WSU in Art in (I think) 1978. He lived on Merrick street. If so please email me. He does not know that he has a 31 year old son.
